June 19, 2006 - Made design changes to the Main Page and several sub pages. Updated site map.
December 23, 2005 - I want to thank those that have contributed to The Inman Compendium. The ever increasing amount of data and graphics has an impact on the cost of operating the site. This week I have added almost 200 images of marriage and death certificates from Florida. Your help will keep the data accumulation continuing. Thanks again.
December 1, 2005 - All of the major corrections to the layout of the database information has been completed. All SS#s, cemetery locations, military data and additional spouses have been moved. I will continue to go through the data looking for other changes that should be made.
September 7, 2005 - I checked the email for Inman@surnameweb.org. It's been 6 months since I have done this. Because of SPAM this email is basically deactivated. Please change your address lists to remove this old email and replace it with jim76501@vvm.com (that's 2 Vs not 1 W). I found several more spots where the email was used on the site and changed them. Please let me know if you run across any more.
Aug 26, 2005 - I have decided to discontinue the mailing list. Keeping up with the constant changes in emails is bad enough, but many servers are now blocking any type of mass mailing. This includes our mailings even when they are approved and expected. I am going to replace the mailings with this web page. Check here for site updates.
On occasion, I will use the Rootsweb list for forwarding information. I recommend that everyone on my list sign up to the Rootsweb list by sending an email to INMAN-L@rootsweb.com - add SUBSCRIBE as the subject. Be sure to add this email address to your list of approved email recipients.
Aug 1, 2005 - As I go back through the database moving bits of data, I am also searching the census records and adding many notes for the families that I find. These file notes are just being added to the database and not the census pages. I don't see the need to duplicate the effort. I am also copying the images to my hard drive, so copies will be available.
One family member thinks that the little I get in donations makes this site a profitable venture. LOL! But to ensure that the site stays within the "Fair Use" clause of the Copyright laws, the donation section of the site has been removed. Thanks to those that have helped over the past years. If you wish to help, contact me directly.
The database is undergoing changes due to the switch to Brother's Keeper 6. Most of the emails that you have sent have been entered and the database has been reloaded several times in the last month.
I will continue to rearrange the data in the database so that it shows according to standard gedcom format. So far I am up to #14500 out of the 82,000 names in the system. But I believe that I have recovered all of the names that were inadvertently lost.
Simultaneously. I am adding more obituaries. I encourage everyone to help me by sending, or letting me know where I can locate, obituaries not already posted in the abstracts.
