WILL OF JOSHUA INMAN SR. 15 Apr 1810
I Joshua Inman of Newberry District and the State of South Carolina, being of weak of
body but of perfect memory and sound reason have through fit to make, Ordain, and
Constitute and do hereby make, ordain, and Constitute and appoint this My Last Will and
Testament in the manner and form as followeth, that is to say-
1st It is my will that all my Just debts and funeral expenses should be
punctually paid if there be any.
2nd I will that my Meeting house and lot of land contained with it
called White Lick shall be sold and each of my children to have Five Dollars apiece that
is my first wifes children.
3rd I will all my personal property to My Dear Wife Ann Inman for her
to dispose of as she thinks proper for the use of my children.
4th And lastly I nominate and appoint my trustly and loving wife Ann
Inman and Thomas Gilbert my sole Exec--- and Exec--- of this My Last Will and Testament.
Hereby ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will
and testament, utterly disannulling and revoking all other Wills made by me or suffered to
be made.
In witness whereof I the said Joshua Inman have here unto set my hand
and Seal this fifteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and ten and in the Thirty Fourth Year of the American Independence.
